Anticipated Young Adult Books of 2012

Last week, I blogged about my favorite young adult books of 2011. This got me thinking about the 2012 young adult novels I cannot wait to read. Here they are in alphabetical order:

 

Bitterblue by Kristen Cashore Bitterblue by Kristen Cashore (May 1) - This companion novel to Graceling and Fire follows Bitterblue. Characters from previous novels will make appearances.
Black Heart by Holly Black Black Heart by Holly Black (April 3) - The final book in the Curseworkers series. Cassel is trying to put his past behind him while working for the Feds, but he may have to do the one thing he vowed never to do again.

Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Sibohan Vivian (release date unknown) - This new young adult trilogy follows three girls who seek revenge against the people who wronged them.

City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare (May 8) - Can Jace be saved?
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare (December) - As she and the shadowhunters try to stop the clockwork army, Tessa must also deal with her feelings for Will and Jem.
Dead to You by Lisa McMann Dead to You by Lisa McMann (February 7) - Ethan was kidnapped when he was seven. Now, at the age of sixteen, he has returned home with no memory of his old life.
Endlessly by Kiersten White Endlessly by Kiersten White (July 24) - Evie returns for her final adventure involving old friends and new ones.
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead (June 19) - The second book in the Bloodlines series once again features Sidney and Adrian as they try to keep Jill safe.

Heroes of Olympus 3 possibly called The Mark of Athena (September) - Percy Jackson might finally reunite with Annabeth as the heroes from both camps join up for an important quest.

insurgent by Veronica Roth

Insurgent by Veronica Roth (May 28) - In this sequel to Divergent, war looms as Tris must decide if she will fully embrace her divergence.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins (Fall) - Isla, minor character from Anna and the French Kiss, gets her own romance in this final companion novel.

edited on 1/3/12 - Stephanie Perkins now states that this book will not be released until 2013. I still really, really want to read it.

The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting (April 17) - Violet has the ability to sense the dead, and now she is using this ability to help the FBI. The most recent case of "The Girlfriend Killer" might make her the next victim.
Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter (March 3) - Cammie left the Gallagher Academy to protect her friends and family. She awakens in convent with no memory of how she spent the summer.
Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready (May 1) - Aura finally let go of her dead boyfriend Logan's ghost and is ready to move on with Zachary; however, the government threatens his life in order to learn her secrets.
