April is National Poetry Month. All this month, the Teen Blog will feature young adult novels that mention specific poets or poems.
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Anna's father sends her to a school in Paris for her senior year. She is miserable until she begins making friends and spending time with Etienne St. Clair. He already has a girlfriend, but occasionally, their friendship seems like it will become something more. At the famed Shakespeare & Company bookstore, he presents her with a collection of Pablo Neruda poems. He says the book is for class, but there might be deeper significance in his gift.
