The recent re-release of Star Wars. Episode 1: The Phantom Menace has spurred discussion and controversy about George Lucas's revisionist "history." First of all, let's clear one issue up: Han definitely shot first. Love him or hate, Lucas's franchise has left an indelible mark on popular culture. In addition to purchasing new science fiction titles, I think it's important to ensure that we have some of the classics available. Fortunately the publishing trade loves reprints, so it's possible to fill in gaps and replace worn books from great series such as Isaac Asimov's Foundation. We currently have the seven Asimov Foundation novels for you to re-read or perhaps to enjoy for the first time.
For those who've been following the ongoing travails of Luke Skywalker and the Jedi, we have book 8, the penultimate in the series, available now. Will Luke and his son Ben defeat the evil Abeloth?
