During the stay-at-home order, I've found new ways to support friends and colleagues and creative ways to use library resources like Creativebug and Mango Languages for both continuing education and work-life balance. I love all the databases we have, and becoming more familiar with them helps make me a better librarian but also adds to my life skill set. I love that these are both work and fun! I've also just discovered AtoZ World Food... a database that has RECIPES. One of my hobbies is trying and sharing new baking projects, so I can't wait to explore!
Mango Languages is a PhD-created, linguist-approved language-learning software that teaches practical conversation in over 70 languages, while keeping the vibe fun and encouraging. From Spanish to Swahili, English to Icelandic, and Shakespeare to Pirate, virtually everyone’s language and culture curiosities are covered.
AtoZ World Food is the only food database that contains traditional recipes for 174 countries of the world in all course categories: appetizers, soups, salads, breads, main courses, side dishes, desserts, and beverages.
