Free Summer Meals Program

What is the Summer Food Service Program?

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), also known as the Summer Meals Program, is a federally-funded, state-administered program. Through the SFSP, Marquardt School District 15 (D15) and Queen Bee School District 16 (D16) will provide free healthy meals to children and teens 18 and younger during the summer months when school is not in session, free of charge. Check out our video below to learn more.

What Will Be Served?

  • Breakfast: Includes food options such as cereal, graham crackers, fresh fruit, juice, and milk.
  • Snack: Includes food options such as string cheese, crackers, fruit and juice.
  • Lunch: Includes food options such as a hot entrée, fruit and vegetable sides and milk. Vegetarian option available.

Glenside Public Library District has partnered with Marquardt School District 15 to offer lunch and learn opportunities throughout the summer. Receive a free lunch and enjoy library programming that will feature games, activities, free books, and more! Lunch and learn opportunities will be offered at various designated locations in our community listed below:
